Why This Site Exists
Most people never see image metadata during normal photo sharing. It sits behind the visible picture, where operating systems, camera apps, editors, cataloging software, websites, and verification tools may read it.
That makes metadata easy to misunderstand. One extreme treats every hidden field as a privacy threat. The other assumes platforms will always remove everything automatically. Neither approach is reliable.
AI Metadata Cleaner aims to make the middle ground practical: inspect the file, understand the fields, remove what is unnecessary for the sharing copy, and keep the original when its metadata still has value.
What We Build
The site provides tools for viewing and cleaning supported metadata in common image formats, plus educational guides explaining EXIF, GPS, XMP, IPTC, C2PA Content Credentials, image formats, operating-system controls, and privacy workflows.
The product should be browser-first and should favor metadata-only rewriting when a format allows it. If a file must be re-encoded or uploaded to a server, the interface must disclose that before processing.
